B & B Machinery Company was founded in 1992.  The two B's stand for my father and me. He thought of the name one day when considering the two of us starting our own business. He passed away before he could fulfill his dream. The name stuck with me and thus began B & B Machinery Company.

Prior to starting B & B Machinery Company I worked for eighteen years for a major Distributorship of new and used Woodworking and Panel Processing Machinery.  I started in sales, rose to sales manager and ended my career as vice president.  Sales has always been in my blood and I still cover a territory for the company which is Elkhart county and western Michigan.  From a management position I feel we have on board the finest and most professional sales personnel in the industry.  All of them veterans in this industry with strong back grounds in woodworking and panel processing equipment to serve the needs of our customers.

Please take the time to meet the rest of gang.

A five year Navy veteran, I graduated from Western Michigan University with a degree in Industrial Engineering.  I first worked in the woodworking industry at Everett Piano Company where I spent six years as a Senior Engineer while also filling in as Maintenance Supervisor for eight months.  The Piano company had a complete rough mill, including kilns, as well as a veneering operation, high pressure boilers, and a large secondary finish mill.  After that I took a position as Engineering Manager  for a large kitchen cabinet company, Homecrest, eventually adding Maintenance and Tooling areas to his responsibilities.  During this seventeen year tenure at Homecrest I was selected to serve as a judge (judges are nominated by machinery vendors) in the prestigious Challengers Award competition at the International Woodworking Fair in Atlanta, serving for three consecutive shows before moving to the sales side of the industry with B & B Machinery in 2001.  Now after eight years of selling a wide array of woodworking machinery to all segments of the industry I am able to bring my many years of experience to bear for customers both large and small.

After graduating from college, I began my career in our industry producing furniture and cabinetry.  Later, I became a Plant Manager for a large regional cabinet manufacturer and then served as an Outsourcing Production Coordinator for a producer of commercial/retail case goods where I added to my wood and panel processing expertise in production environments.  I have now been with B & B Machinery Company for over 3 years.  Throughout this time, I have gained exposure to a broader range of industrial environments to include rough lumber processing and lean manufacturing.  With the exception of the southwest corner of Lower Michigan, I cover the State of Michigan for our organization.
